Another country heard from. A clash of worldviews, of liberty and the individual against the collective and tyranny.

Weltanschauung
26% of Obama Supporters View Tea Party as Nation’s Top Terror Threat
Increasingly, this clash of alternate realities, of worldviews, grows and grows. We are divided by the question: Do the people serve the government, or does the government serve the people? This will not end well. As I have often observed in the past, collectivists view peace as the absence of effective opposition made possible by the imprisonment or death of their perceived enemies -- by the silence of dissenting voices however they achieve it. You do not negotiate an end to such a fight. You either win and remain free, or you lose and you and your children's children become slaves of the collective. Or you die in the fight. It is of supreme indifference to the collectivists how they win, as long as they win. They'll convince you (or your children) with propaganda if they can, but in the end they will kill you if they can't. We, on the other hand, have a much more difficult task. We must defend ourselves without becoming the monsters we claim to fight.
But have no illusions. This is a war of worldviews as old as human history.

This is what distresses me most about this war. We cannot reach a peace agreement with the other side and are self-constrained by moral character they don't have.

"It is of supreme indifference to the collectivists how they win, so long as they win". That is exactly how I feel. Yep, it will not end well and while the cost will be mind numbing, there is no room for compromise. We cannot have two Americas. There must be one. Winner take all.

Perfectly stated; Of course, that also means that 74 per cent of obongo supporters do not see the Tea party, et al, as enemies. I live and work in areas which are highly mixed, racially, and in spite of political differences, people know each other as neighbors, not interested in demonizing one another, fighting, etc. The violent encounters, break-ins, and so on, are almost totally intra-racial here, black on black, white on white, and the acts are done by criminals and thugs who are the same regardless of color,
How long will the People fall for the marxist / statist means of engineered division and mistrust? The ruling class knows that when the People see their plans, IF the People unite against the oppressors, there sill be no stopping them. And that keeps the statists scared as hell. Their days are numbered. Mene, menel, tekel upharsin!

Yeah, this number actually seems low to me. What other group are they going to pick?

The question was, "Which is a bigger terrorist threat to the United States today – radical Muslims, the Tea Party, local militia groups, the Occupy Wall Street movement, or other religious or political extremists?" Notice they left out the choice, "the U.S. Government". Clever of them. The poll would have been pretty embarrassing otherwise.

There was another poll like this going around just after the Oklahoma City bombing, after Clinton had been using it to beat up militias. It did ask which was more dangerous, militias or the government. Even after Clinton's propaganda barrage, more people picked the government. But then they stopped reporting on the poll and I never heard about it again.

Uh, that is certainly in error. There can be lots of Americas. In fact, that is the best possible outcome:

What amuses me is how people.....especially on the Left....derive their political views through secondary or third-tier sources without actually having first-hand experience themselves.

What I mean is this: Ask any rabid O-bot about the Tea Party and you will probably get the standard answer that they are racists, etc etc etc, you all know the banality of their arguments.

Ask them if they know why the Tea Party was formed in the first place and what they stand for, and you'll get get an answer along the lines of: "A bunch of racists are angry because we have a Black president"......which is hardly the truth at all, by the way......but it's only because they read an article on the Huffington Post or MSNBC, or only because Rachel Maddow or Chris Matthews said it.

They really don't know that the Tea Party only wants responsible fiscal and monetary policy.....and frankly, they don't really care to know.

My friends, this is not going to end well.
