Announced takeover of Jewish gun group provokes controversy

“Her post will not alter any plans or kill the deal,” Gottlieb said of Wolfe's report, addressing speculation that the joining might be derailed by last-minute protests. “JPFO and SAF will issue news releases when the merger becomes final late next week or the following Monday."

It will alter any plan I had to renew my membership in JFPO.

I'm a life member of JPFO. If Gottlieb gets his grubby paws on JPFO, I'm through. He's a twit and a sellout, and if he's so damned strapped for cash, like he informs me every week, he can dip into that $800,000 salary and compensation package he gets every year, and fund whatever this weeks "emergency" amounts to. I hope no one forgets how he was oh so helpful, when Obongo and Co. were going to write their anti-gun screed in 2013, after Newtown.

Sean, how much nonwage compensation do you think Alan is making?

The number you threw out sounds like LaPierre's salary.

$800k is 20% of total revenues for an organization the size of SAF. According to Charity Navigator, Joe's 2012 salary was $26k and Alan's was $36k.

I was planning on joining JPFO. Not now, though.

If JPFO is in financial trouble, wouldn't a merger make sense in order to preserve it? I really don't know.

I donated to JPFO when Mr. Zellman was at the helm. Not since he passed and never again. Those 'gun pimps' fall right in line with their 'race pimp' bruhs.

FedUp, I stand corrected. A. Gottlieb does get around 36,000. I got the previous figure third hand, and it was obviously very wrong.
